Who We Are?
The Brooklyn Strategist is a unique, community-based, interactive board- and card-game center, café and social club. It is a place to play, learn, think creatively, socialize and strategize against an opponent or with team members. The Brooklyn Strategist is pleased to offer afternoon clubs for all age groups that are interested in learning new board games and improving skills on games that are previously known. Who is it for?
The Brooklyn Strategist aims to serve everybody in the community although structured game play is designed for people over 7 years of age. Individuals, couples and families are welcome. If you want to play a favorite game or learn a new one but don't have someone to play with, The Brooklyn Strategist will find a partner(s) for you to share the experience. Homemade refreshments (savory, sweet and beverages) made from local area sustainable farms are available to you to enhance your experience.
What types of games are played?
The Brooklyn Strategist focuses entirely on games that require face-to-face interaction. It has a huge inventory of board and card games (including many out-of-print games) and multiple table sizes to accommodate games for 2 players and games for up to 8 players. Examples of different game genres include Ancient and Modern Strategy Games, Adventure Games, Family/Parlor/Party Games, Military/Historical Games, Mystery Games, Sports Games, Word Games, Card Games and Role Playing and Miniature Games. There are no computer or digital games of any kind.
